If they are the real deal they came from Allen Fisher, The Tar Heel. If they are truley hard hitters they are some good fowl. He had some kelso fowl and some spurrier grays that were very good also. He had a line of hatch cross fowl that he called hard hitters.

Post Re: Hard Hitter Hatch
Well i know the guys who went and got them YEARS ago, he would not tell me who he baught them from, how much he gave for em or anything eles, he said if i wanted a pair that was fine but i could never tell anyone where it came from or ever sale even one cracked egg from them. but his come blue legged really dark wine color and tight feathered. they seem all around i like the looks of them.
was walking through his yard and one caught my leg as i passed pulled up my pants leg and had 3 bloody holes where he set down on my legg, he said that was the only mean one, for the chickens sake i hope so if i get a pair.

he also has the kelso, i forget what he said they where, but they seem just as good if not better then the hatch fowl he has, he only has the 2 breeds and some crosses from them. but he said he would never let a kelso pair leave his farm then he gave me 2 eggs from a brood pen and said good luck, nither hatched as our power went out for 2 days do to a rather large storm.

Allen Fisher had some good fowl. He has been dead for several years now.

I am going to buy him in the morning, have put ALOT of thought into it and think it would be a great addition to the yard.
