Keep tylan 50 in your frig, like most Rx, you really need it on hand, Tylan 200 requires only a quarter of Tylan 50 dosage, so over dosing easier. got luck, who needs it, new birds?

No one of my roosters. I looked on wiki and read 1/4cc of tylan 200!? That doesn't sound to much does it. Should I keep the tylan 200 in fridge as well.. I wish I had the stuff for my ko rooster. Was to late by the time I figuered out where I could get it.

This is with a single rooster. I have been out listening to other birds at night, with lights out of coarse. I am not hearing anything from others. But just a one, so he is now on quarentine "has been" . Till this is sorted out and I knowing no more birds are going to come down with this. I can't afford to bring in anymore birds.

I wish I new this site while ago, to figure out what can be done, what are helpfull feeds, treatment all that great stuff. I love this site and knowledge of others.
Thank you to all

I don't like Tylan. Never found it to be good for anything except taking your money; heck, I can do that by going by the gas station.

I prefer Noromycin or Duramycin (both the same drug just different mils: oxytetracycline: injectible)

finch and I have discussed a cocktail of three antibiotics formerly used by many, prior to the introduction of fluroquilines. Tylan atrophies muscle tissue in birds, why I hate it. Anything other than fluroquinlines are inadequte, IMHO

"ditto" anything other than fluoroquinolones are absolutely inadequate and a waste of time and money in my humble opinion, at least for gram negative bacteria problems.

I saw some Duramycin at Tractor Supply, was going to buy it but dont know the dosage. How do you use them? Whats the difference between Duramycin-10 and Duramycin, 72-200mg?
